Wheat Grass © Diana Ting Delosh. Wheat grass seedlings in a low blue dish. This illustration was created as Norooz, Persian New Year greeting card. Norooz is celebrated on the vernal equinox, March 21st or the 1st day of spring. One of the Persian New year customs is to sprout wheat grass seeds and to tie the seedlings together with a red ribbon. The fresh green grass signifies new growth, abundance, renewal, fresh starts and the red ribbon signifies blood, life, rebirth.
