He tricks Crow into opening her beak and dropping her prize by flattering her singing voice. This illustration was my submission for the 2011 CBIG Aesop's Fables Illustration Catalog.

*Aesop does not mention Rainbow Cookies specifically. In some versions of the fable the coveted yummy is specified as cheese in others it's just referred to as a nondescript delicious morsel. Personally, a Rainbow Cookie is worth more effort over any old piece of cheese. Then again if it's brie on lovely french baguette- well...
